Tea leaves were steamed rather than roasted to produce a rich dark green color and deep taste with a light grassy aroma. This tea is grown by a tea master in Uji, Japan same as our Matcha Toshiyasu and Genmai Matcha Tea. His family has been producing tea since 1751.
