The Passion Behind My Tea Store

Great Tea Road Co. is the product of my successful journey full of experiences. This stems from my passion to reach out to millions of people and support their health through tea's tender, divine taste.​

What Inspired the Name Great Tea Road Co.?

The name of my store was inspired by the historic Siberian route, along which large quantities of tea are transported from China to Europe. This route, known as the Tea Road, surfaces on the Moscow Highway. By choosing this name, I am sharing an uplifting journey of my passion and taste with my fellow tea lovers.​

How Did My Love for Tea Start?

My profound, natural mania for sharing my love of tea with others helped me be still and attain the utmost serenity. And no, this is not just an occasional enthusiasm. As someone born in Thailand to a Chinese immigrant family, I have learned to associate tea with every meal and have followed that tradition. So now, it is my ritual to start my day with a cup of tea.​

Discovering Teas From Various Places

My ability to speak multiple languages has helped me a lot while traveling to many tea-producing countries, including the rural, mountainous regions where small tea farms nest, allowing me to discover high-quality teas from the communities I visit. It also allowed me to exchange interests and gain more information by speaking to the native tea connoisseurs about teas’ reputation and benefits.

The Idea of Starting a Tea Store

After I moved to the US, I was always thinking of an organic tea store. This gave me the insight to set up my own house to deliver the tasteful delights directly fetched from the lands of tea like Thailand, Japan, Taiwan, and China to local people.​

The teas I offer in my store are natural. I have worked with many tea plantation owners across China, Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, and India. I have also sourced products directly from farms and delivered them to the US. To provide my customers with more flavorful, aromatic, pleasurable, and divine products, I blend all the teas I offer myself.

My Journey to Becoming a Tea Professional

The mighty has led me to survive for this passion for discovering nature’s loveliest tea gardens. My insights from an organic tea store helped me begin my training in the Japanese tea ceremony with a tea master from the Urasenke Tankokai Association. I am a “Chado “(Japanese tea ceremony) practitioner and served as the VP of Yukimakai Urasenke of Minnesota.​ Today, I became a Chado certified instructor.
