We are not sure when exactly this tea was created. We have heard it was about 80 years ago or so. Rice is the main stable of Asians. Since they have an abundance of it, with a high cost of tea leaves at the time, it was being roasted and added to tea to create a new flavor. It gives a comforting quality. We normally brew it hot but it can be enjoyable as iced.

INGREDIENTS: Tea and Roasted Rice

CAFFEINE LEVEL: Low

BREWING DIRECTION: About 6 grams per 8oz, 90c for two minutes. Multiple brews.

ORIGIN: Uji, Japan

GOOD TO KNOW: Keep away from sunlight, and strong odor. If possible, in an airtight container.
