This Matcha is grown and produced near Uji, a famous city of Japanese Tea Ceremony, which is near Kyoto area. We named this tea as " Spring of Uji" Matcha. This is a ceremonial grade; we use in the Japanese Tea Ceremony. Our Matcha is primarily intended for preparing usucha (thin tea). It is barely any astringent found in other Matcha we have tasted. It comes with a hand made Washi-inspired canister.
INGREDIENT: 100% Camellia Sinensis (Tea)
CAFFEINE LEVEL: Low
BREWING DIRECTION: About 1.5 tea spoon (or about 2 bamboo scoops) at 175F per 6 oz, use bamboo whisk and whisk it in a W motion. Please note, in the Chado Tea Room, we never pour water directly onto the tea but pour around it.
