We are not sure when exactly this tea was created. We have heard it was about 80 years ago or so ago in Japan. Rice is a main stable in many countries in Asia. Since they have abundance of it, with a high cost of tea leaves at the time, they decided to roast and add to tea to create new flavor. It gives a comforting quality. We normally brew it hot but it can be enjoyable as iced.
INGREDIENTS: Tea, Roasted Rice
TYPE: Green Tea
CAFFEINE LEVEL: Low
BREWING DIRECTION: About 6 grams per 8oz, 90c for two minutes. Multiple brew.
ORIGIN: Uji, Japan
